Dear fellow OBFF members

Cathy and I are very excited about our recent appointment to the leadership team of OBFF. We both believe that the call on our lives is to see the Body of Christ become one in our Beloved Nation of Canada. Out of our love for one another, we believe we will release revival fires into our homes, cities, provinces and Nation. We believe that the newsletter name ‘OBFF Link’ is very significant for our ministerial. We want to encourage, strategize, and mobilize the Body of Christ towards love and good works in order to bring honour to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. A link is something which binds together or connects things. We believe the mandate on our lives is to bind the Body of Christ throughout Canada with cords of love that cannot be broken, as well as connecting the diverse, anointed, and unique parts of the Body of Christ throughout our land. In a Spirit of Unity, we will prepare the way for abundant souls to be compelled into the kingdom. The scripture verse that has been the driving passion of my life is found in John 13:34-35.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."  NKJV

It is interesting to note the context and surrounding of that Passover Night. When Jesus spoke these words, Judas had just walked out of the room and Jesus gave us an example of serving one another by washing his disciple’s feet. Jesus is telling us, the ministers, that by the love we have one for another the world will know we are His. This is where the enemy has targeted the Body of Christ for years. It is getting ministers out of love with each other; it hinders evangelism in our families, churches, ministries, provinces and Nation. The Good News is that He is coming back for a glorious church, not a church characterized by competition or comparison, but unity. Unity can only come when ministers have a revelation of the cross of Calvary, which was the place of death, so that new life can be released in us. The Cross of Jesus is the focal point of Unity.  Too many petty issues have divided us in the past, but the Cross will unite us in the days to come. None of us want our will anymore, but we desire God’s will to be done in the earth, and His will is revealed in John 17:20-23

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.  NKJV

This was Jesus’ prayer for His disciples, and it has not changed 2000 years latter. Notice the glory has already been given; it is on the inside of us, and God wants us to release it into our homes, churches and ministries so that the Gospel will go forth freely into the Nations. So many today are praying for the Lord to send His glory; yet Jesus said the glory He had He gave to us that we may be one. Every time we get out of love, the glory is stopped in us, but when we flow in God’s love the glory is released. May we each work together as the Apostle Paul encouraged the church in Ephesians 4:1-7

“Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. 3 Always keep yourselves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind yourselves together with peace. 4 We are all one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have all been called to the same glorious future. 5 There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 and there is only one God and Father, who is over us all and in us all and living through us all.” NLT

May this be the attitude and passion of each of us in the days to come, that we will follow these admonishments and release His glory in the earth.

Cathy and I are committed to the success and well being of each one of you. The following is a short biography that tells a little about our roots, ministry, church, family and each other. We believe as you get to know us a little better, you will connect with us closer and share the vision we have for our fellowship and Nation.

Love and Blessings,

Rick
